The cheapest upgrade turned out to be a notebook

The photos barely do it justice, which is exactly why I keep a blog instead of just a camera roll. Context is the whole story; the picture is just the receipt.

Money note, since nobody else says it out loud: the whole thing cost less than a takeaway dinner, and most of the supplies came from the drawer I was about to throw out.
